Most recent funding priorities – closed February 16, 2024

New projects will increase access to independent living, employment, or community connection opportunities for St. Louis city residents with developmental disabilities. Organizations that are not currently funded but are supporting individuals with developmental disabilities are encouraged to apply.

Funding prioritization of new projects is as follows:

  • Collaborative projects between two or more organizations
  • Employment training partnerships offering paid work experience guaranteeing living wage employment
  • Capital requests to improve the physical environment that:
    • Enhances independent living options,
    • Increases access within the program’s facility, and/or
    • Increases access to the individuals’ community.

Funding Announcement


The St. Louis Office for Developmental Disability Resources (DD Resources) is pleased to announce the opening of its FY26 funding cycle. Funding is available for:

  • Renewal of currently funded projects. Requests for expansion will be accepted by invitation only; projects eligible for expansion will be contacted by DD Resources.
  • New projects from new and existing funded partners. Requests may be for annual or one-time funding. Organizations not currently funded but supporting individuals with developmental disabilities are encouraged to apply.

Eligible New Projects

New projects will increase access to independent living, employment, or community connection opportunities for St. Louis city residents with developmental disabilities and must address one of the following:

  • Collaborative projects between two or more organizations
  • Employment training partnerships offering paid work experience guaranteeing living wage employment
  • Capital requests to improve the physical environment that:
    • Enhances independent living options,
    • Increases safe, affordable, and accessible housing options
    • Increases access within the program’s facility, and/or
    • Increases access to the individuals’ community.

Definitions for services can be found in the FY26 Partner Funding Manual. Potential new funding partners should reference the Partner Funding Manual to ensure the agency and proposed project meet criteria, standards, guidelines, and outcomes and understand DD Resources’ processes and expectations.

To Apply

Proposals for new projects must follow the application template. New organizations must include a Certificate of Good Standing from the State of Missouri. Non-profit organizations must also submit their IRS Determination Letter. New proposals must be submitted to agencyrelations@stldd.org by February 14, 2025. Renewal requests will follow the Eastern Region Alliance portal application process. Final funding determinations will be made at the May 8, 2025, board meeting, with funding allocated on a 7/1/2025 – 6/30/2026 timeframe.
