Description:
The University of Missouri – St. Louis’ Office of Inclusive Post Secondary Education (OIPE) believes in empowerment through education and active collaboration with diverse campus and community partners. It works to create a campus where neurodiverse adults can foster self-determination skills, live independently, learn in a supportive and inclusive environment, find secure and meaningful employment, and be immersed in a rich social climate.
Summer Enrichment Camp:
The Summer Enrichment Camp offers two one-week overnight summer camps to high school students with IDD. The purpose of the summer camp is to promote college and career readiness and support students to identify post-school goals. During summer camp, students will experience college life, attend workshops (ex., independent living skills, public transportation training, career development, self-advocacy, study skills), live in a University residence hall, and access all University facilities (e.g., dining hall, library, recreation center).
